llllllllll June 12, 2007 - "EINSTEIN'S MAP OF THE UNIVERSE" PICKED AS THE DEVIANTART "DAILY DEVIATION"

Another great honor to have "Einstein's Map of the Universe" chosen as the "Daily Deviation" today. Thanks to the DA administration and $spinegrinder!

Here's what they said:

"Einstein's Map of the Universe" - Daily Deviation Feature

I bet if Albert Einstein would live today as an artist, he would be a master of Fractal Art. Our very own resident master of the mathematical arts, `TomWilcox, pays tribute to the old genius and delights us with the mind-boggling Einsteins Map of the Universe. So very complex in its composition, the patterns and color palette are simply breathtaking and will be the ultimate eye catcher on your wall! (Featured by $spinegrinder)

llllllllll April 10, 2007 - Mary Youngblood, Outstanding Musical Achievement Award

From Silver Wave's Newsletter: "Mary Youngblood can't seem to stop winning awards. First Americans In The Arts is a prestigious organization based in the Los Angeles area which honors outstanding achievements by Native Americans in the performing arts. Most of the awards focus on film and television, but their one music award is going to none other than Mary Youngblood.

Fresh off a Grammy win in February for "Dance with the Wind", Mary will be going back to Los Angeles on April 14 to receive the Outstanding Musical Achievement Award for "Dance with the Wind" at a gala ceremony to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel."

My image, "Willow in the Wind" was used on the cover and throughout the album. [link]

llllllllll February 11, 2007 - Mary Youngblood Wins a Grammy for "Dance With the Wind"!

llllllllll December, 2006 - Mary Youngblood Receives Grammy Nomination!

Silver Wave Records announced that Dance with the Wind, the latest release from Mary Youngblood, has been nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the category of Best Native American Music Album.

Mary once again joined forces with GRAMMY winning Producer Tom Wasinger for Dance with the Wind. Their previous collaborations have resulted in a GRAMMY winning achievement (2002, Beneath the Raven Moon) and a GRAMMY nominated achievement (2004, Feed the Fire).

Mary Youngblood is the premiere female Native American flute player. Each record she has released has been bestowed with the top honors in the genre and received outstanding critical acclaim.

The 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday, February 11, 2007, on CBS.

llllllllll October 28, 2005 - "The Heart Series" Poster Chosen as a Daily Deviation Feature and the Print of the Day.

All 12 of the hearts in my "Heart Series" on one poster. Huge 97 mega-pixel file assures you of a beautiful print with stunning detail.

Here's what they said:

"The Heart Series" - Daily Deviation Feature

When browsing Fractal Art in our Prints Shop, you will come across a series of uniquely eye-catching hearts by our resident fractal scientist and mad professor `TomWilcox. Each of them has its very own appeal due to the complexity, shapes, immense color vibrancy and not to forget the warm fuzzy feeling they give, which makes it really hard to decide which one to pick. But Tom wouldn't be Tom if he didn't think of that. That's why he made The Heart Series, a composition of all 12 individual hearts in one astonishing poster.

Also viewable as The Print of the Day.

llllllllll October 7, 2004 - "Hiroshima" Chosen as a Daily Deviation Feature.

Here's what they said:

"HIROSHIMA" - Daily Deviation Feature
Many times when people view fractal art, or create fractal art, they think in sheer aesthetic terms. "Will this look good? Will it be pleasing to the eye?" But every now and then, someone comes along and changes the rules. *TomWilcox is one of those people. Hiroshima Combines brilliant visuals and color, he captures a theme that is not easy to tackle in any style. Take a moment to look and reflect on this piece, and then take a look at his whole gallery. It redefines what can be done with the genre.
