All my life I've closed the door.
Never calling out his name,
Never knowing there was more.
And the truth was all around me;
The evidence was clear.
Looked in all the wrong places,
But the answer was right here.

And now I won't be alone anymore.

I was lost and I was troubled;
I was drowning in despair.
I didn't know the reason,
And I said it wasn't fair.
I'd made my bed and slept in it;
Had no one else to blame,
And the more I tried to change it,
The more things stayed the same.

But now I won't be alone anymore.

And my road is filled w
RantsThe Rant

A "rant" is a rant,
He'd always believed,
But the old man's "suggestions"
Caused the girl to be peeved.

"I was trying to help,
A suggestion my dear",
But she just didn't get it
Or just didn't hear.

"Your suggestion I call ranting
And we just can't have that.
Big deal, you're a Member;
Here's your coat and your hat."

"It wasn't a rant"
The old man replied
"My suggestions still stand
I have nothing to hide".

His list of suggestions
Had fallen on deft ears.
He folded the paper
And wiped off his tears.

Into his pocket
He placed all his "rants",
Now no one can tell
He had rants in his pants.

for me

the floor fills
with puddles of artistic
visions

but he pulls me back

turns my neck
lifts my chin
commands my eyes

ComplicatedOur situation is
more than complicated.
An intricate puzzle
of millions of pieces.
You're half a world
away from me.
Always taking,
never giving.
I never complain
not to you,
not outloud.
But to myself,
I wonder,
why must it be
so complicated.
Moon DanceA lonesome wind carrying the sound,
songs that only wolves can understand.
The gentle cool touch of moon's pale light,
tracing the shapes of the priestesses
in light and shadow play.
Only the two dancing, arms upraised.
Calling out in prayer, in triumph.
Rejoicing for their freedom,
asking for a good hunt.
Thanking for the gifts She gives.
Ears, sharp, hearing every sound.
Eyes able to pierce the shadows,
unfazed by the play of colors.
Noses built to scent any trail.
All better than mere human form.
Swiftness of foot, sharpness of fang.
Ready to hunt, to feed.
Taking only what they need.
Offering up their thanks with
Angel's DawnThe breath of a new day,
gentle light of sun's first kiss.
Accompanied by a soft beauty
wandering amongst the softness
of a carpet of clouds.
She alights upon the earth,
treading delicately among
the dew laden lavender,
which matches the color of her eyes.
A vision of grace and beauty,
not meant for mortal eyes.
The breeze stirs her hair,
ruffling her wings,
and kissing her skin.
The rose of dawn's kiss,
complimenting her gown,
tinging her feathers to match.
But she is too entranced
with the beauty around her,
to see her own.
A gift of a new day,
the dawn's first light,
the kiss of an angel.
Break AwayA need to escape,
A need to run,
A need to be free.
My heart is tight
within my chest,
as I look to the mountains,
so far from me.
A taste of freedom,
my soul longs for,
seemingly out of reach.
If only I had wings,
to carry me across
the still waters,
to carry me away
from this dead life.
Tired of my feet
feeling parched earth,
I want to feel the grass,
see the trees,
smell the flowers.
I want to touch the sky
and break away.
The WarriorI watched him go,
unable to ask him to stay.
It was for me and our home
he was going away.
How could I ask?
He wouldn't have been swayed.
Not from this task.
So behind him I stayed.
He cast one look back at me,
one glance telling me his love.
That was all there was to see,
as I prayed to those above.
Return him to me, safe and sound.
My love, the warrior.
That sad truthYou ask me for nothing
You whisper you can wait
Your lips make my breath abate
Your heart beats so close to mine
And slowly I close my eyes

You want to earn my trust
Knowing all the pain I've been through
The walls I built weren't built for you
I can't change my past, I am forever changed
Your wish to protect and hold me, soothes

Those beautiful eyes read my soul
As you tell me your stories and secret dreams
I feel my resolve weaken and my heart sometimes sings
But I can't be without my armor, I can't let you in
When you touch me though, I wish it were true

Highway to Hell - poem

Highway to Hell

I'm traveling this road to nowhere;
It's a road I know very well.
I know it's absurd,
My vision is blurred,
But I'm going like a bat out of hell.

I'm searching for something that may not exist,
What it is I can't even say.
And in my despair
I don't even care
If anyone gets in my way.

What makes me a fool is the fact that I know
Where I'll be at the sound of the bell.
My fate's nearly sealed
By the sword that I wield,
And I'm going down the highway to hell.
