And if you'll allow me to toss a design tip your way: your signature would look a good bit more professional/complimentary to this organic (looking) work in a clean, humanist typeface like Baskervile, Palatino or Goudy Oldstyle. Right now, the typeface you're using compared with the fractal itself is organic w/organic. It would look better juxtaposed, artificial and stable/organic.
I have only one objective with my signature, that it be the same on all works and that it look like my own actual hand lettering, which it does. Technically it really isn't a signature but rather the title, name and date. Similar to what a fine print would have in the bottom white space. I chose a hand done, architectual style. If I am making a poster I would do it the way you suggest. [link]
I try to produce art for prints you frame and hang so how it looks as a deviation is of little concern. When printed on stretched canvas, there is no border. Commercial type would be all wrong I think.
Don't misunderstand, I am not opposed to suggestions, I just wanted to run through my thought process on how I got there.
