Biography
| Hi, I'm Tom Wilcox and I am a digital artist. Primarily, I use a rather new program, Apophysis. I'm 65 and I began creating fractal images back when 1 meg of ram was king and DOS was the popular operating system. I also work as a product designer (Solidworks - 3D), write poetry, and produce a patented set of Arts & Crafts stainless steel flatware (patent No. D495,555). I have 16 US Patents. - June, 2007 "Einstein's Map of the Universe" was chosen as the "Print of the Day" and "Daily Deviation". May, 2006 "Willow in the Wind" was chosen by former Grammy Music Award winner Mary Youngblood for the cover of her newly released CD, "Dance With the Wind". In December, 2006 Dance with the Wind received a Grammy Nomination for Native American Album of the Year and won a Grammy on Feb. 11, 2007. October 28, 2005 "The Heart Series" poster was chosen as a "Daily Deviation" and as the "Print of the Day". June 28, 2005 I was interviewed in the digital gallery (see archived interview at my homepage). March, 2005 was the "Featured Artist" at the front of the main Prints site (see archived interview at my homepage). January, 2005 Array Organica was chosen as the "Print of the Day". Year 2004 Hiroshima was chosen by DeviantArt as among the "Best of 2004". October, 2004 Hiroshima was chosen as the "Daily Deviation".
